Weekly Hours & Holidays
The center will be open year-round from 6:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. with the following exceptions:
Good Friday
Easter Monday
Memorial Day
Independence Day (July 4th)
Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day, Thanksgiving Friday
Christmas Vacation
Day Care is open for school aged children on certain days when school is not in session. However, parents are advised that children must pre-register and that they should check the Day Care schedule to be assured that they will be able to receive services on the days they wish to use Day Care. If there are not a minimum number of children registered for a vacation or holiday period of time, the Day Care will be closed.
Arrival & Departure of Children
Parents must sign their children in and out each day. Failure to do this will result in a $2.00 fee. If someone other than a parent will be picking up a child, prior written notice must be given to the Director. Identification must be presented each time the child is picked up. DO NOT drop off children outside the facility. The center is not responsible for any child not signed in.
After School Programs
The After School Program is for children in grades 1-8. It meets daily from 2:45 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. in the school basement. From 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., the children will be in the Day Care building. Preschool and Kindergarten children meet in the Day Care building for the whole period of time after school.
Students attending Day Care whose parents are paying the normal fees are provided with a snack. In addition, they have time to relax and time to do homework.
In the basement of the school building, the After School program runs two separate rooms. One is intended for lower grade children, the other for upper grade children. The upper grade room is set up to permit students to work on homework. It includes several computers. In addition, this room also doubles as the Eagle Sports Room. During certain sports seasons when there are late practices, team members with a late practice who are not being picked up immediately after school will report to the Eagle Sports Room until their scheduled practice time. The Eagle Sports Room is a service that the Day Care provides at a greatly reduced fee to parents. This is to allow students to remain at school supervised while they wait for their practice time. Supervision in individual teacher's classrooms is not permitted.
Late Pickup
The Early Childhood Center closes at 6:00 p.m. If a parent is late picking up his/her child(ren), the parent will be charged $5.00 for the first 10 minutes late and $5.00 for every minute after 10 minutes.
Snow Schedule
On days when school is cancelled due to inclement weather, the Childcare Center will have adjusted hours. The facility will open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 5:30 p.m.
