Our Ministries
Outreach and Assimilation
Our mission at Trinity Ministries is to lift high the cross of Jesus Christ. We lift high the cross in our Outreach and Assimilation efforts by proclaiming the truth of the Gospel. This is that Gospel truth that we strive to proclaim, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16)."
As a group we serve visitors, new members and also the entire congregation. We serve through our efforts to reach out to our community, through visitor hospitality and through care families. We also work to communicate to the Church the other on going ministries and to support them in their efforts and events. Last, we also host our own special events to assist in the communication process and for the building of Christian fellowship.
We strive to connect people through worship and Bible study, through events centered on building Christ-centered relationships and through service to the Church, our community and to one another.
Stephen's Ministry
The Stephen Series is a complete system for training and organizing lay people to provide one-to-one Christian care to hurting people in and around your congregation.
The Stephen Series provides congregations with the structure, training, and resources to set up and administer a complete system for lay caring ministry (called Stephen Ministry) in the congregation. In Stephen Ministry congregations, lay caregivers (called Stephen Ministers) provide one-to-one Christian care to the bereaved, hospitalized, terminally ill, separated, divorced, unemployed, relocated, and others facing a crisis or life challenge. Stephen Ministry helps pastors and congregations provide quality caring ministry for as long as people need it.
How the Stephen Series System Works
Step 1: Congregations enroll in the Stephen Series, giving them access to extensive training, resources, and ongoing support from Stephen Ministries St. Louis. There is a one-time enrollment fee.
Step 2: The pastors and lay leaders who will lead Stephen Ministry in their congregation attend a one-week Leader's Training Course where they are equipped by the faculty of Stephen Ministries St. Louis to serve as Stephen Leaders.
Step 3: Stephen Leaders recruit, select, and train people in the congregation to serve as Stephen Ministers.
Step 4: Stephen Leaders assign Stephen Ministers to people with needs for care. Stephen Ministers meet with their care receivers for about an hour a week for as long as the person needs this level of care.
Step 5: Stephen Ministers participate twice a month in supervision and continuing education with their Stephen Leaders.
Enrolled congregations continue taking steps two through five as often as they desire, making Stephen Ministry a vital and lasting ministry in the congregation.

The Lutheran Summer Camp at Pere Marquette State Park in Grafton, Illinois, has been offered to our youth for many decades. Throughout these many years, Lutheran Summer Camp has provided and continues to provide a great opportunity for our youth to enjoy a camping experience with other Christian boys and girls. This year’s theme is “Rock of Ages”.
The camp is divided into four units, two for boys and two for girls. An “Uncle and Aunt” who are Christian couples from area Lutheran churches oversee each unit of approximately 7 cabins. The Adult Counselors are there to provide comfort, guidance, assurance, and discipline. Junior Counselors, high school students who are experienced campers, lead activity groups. Other staff members include cooks (who provide all meals at the dining hall), lifeguards, a nurse, and a Bible class leader. Activities include swimming, wiffleball, volleyball, “Ga-Ga”, Bible study, crafts, group games and relays, singing and old-fashioned fun.
The 2010 Lutheran Summer Camp will be held this year at rustic Camp Piasa located in beautiful Pere Marquette State Park on the following dates:
5th & 6th grade campers on June 28-July 3
7th & 8th grade campers on July 4-9
