Our Ministries

Outreach and Assimilation

Our mission at Trinity Ministries is to lift high the cross of Jesus Christ. We lift high the cross in our Outreach and Assimilation efforts by proclaiming the truth of the Gospel. This is that Gospel truth that we strive to proclaim, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16)."

As a group we serve visitors, new members and also the entire congregation. We serve through our efforts to reach out to our community, through visitor hospitality and through care families. We also work to communicate to the Church the other on going ministries and to support them in their efforts and events. Last, we also host our own special events to assist in the communication process and for the building of Christian fellowship.

We strive to connect people through worship and Bible study, through events centered on building Christ-centered relationships and through service to the Church, our community and to one another.

Lutheran Summer Camp

The Lutheran Summer Camp at Pere Marquette State Park in Grafton, Illinois, has been offered to our youth for many decades.  Throughout these many years, Lutheran Summer Camp has provided and continues to provide a great opportunity for our youth to enjoy a camping experience with other Christian boys and girls.  This year’s theme is “Keep Singing”.

The camp is divided into four units, two for boys and two for girls. An “Uncle and Aunt” who are Christian couples from area Lutheran churches oversee each unit of approximately 7 cabins. The Adult Counselors are there to provide comfort, guidance, assurance, and discipline (if needed).  Junior Counselors, high school students who are experienced campers, lead activity groups. Other staff members include cooks (who provide all meals at the dining hall), lifeguards, a nurse, and a Bible class leader. Activities include swimming, wiffleball, volleyball, “Ga-Ga”, Bible study, crafts, group games and relays, singing and old-fashioned fun. The 2011 Lutheran Summer Camp will be held this year at rustic Camp Piasa located in beautiful Pere Marquette State Park for 5th & 6th grade campers on June 20-June 25 and for 7th & 8th grade campers on June 26-July 1.

Please download the Registration Handbook, which details all the information you need to know about Lutheran Summer Camp.  You will find a Camper Registration Form on page 9 and a Fee Reduction Request Form on page 10.

We look forward to seeing you at camp!!
