Bible Study/Christian Education
Sunday School
The Sunday school program is run between services on Sunday mornings from 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. in the school. We use the Growing in Christ curriculum from Concordia Publishing House. We have a staff of very qualified volunteers who have a love for teaching children the word of God. We would love to have the opportunity to minister to your children.
Adult Bible Study
We currently have a wide variety of opportunities for our adults that are interested in Bible Study. They are as follows:

Doctrinal Refresher course: This Class is led by Vicar John Shank in the Media Center in the School at 9:15 a.m. on Sunday Mornings. The class is a doctrinal look at why we believe what we do as LCMS Christians.
Sunday Morning: There is a second Sunday Morning class offered in the Centenial Chapel on the lower level of the church. This class is led by Adam Born and Eric Dunn and deals with the topic of how the world views Christians in today's society. This class also starts at 9:15 a.m. on Sunday mornings.
Wednesday Morning Class: This class is led by our Senior Pastor, Martin Springer, on Wednesday mornings from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Media Center in the School. The topics range from chapter and verse studies in the bible to the history of the early church.
Small Group Ministry
What are small groups?
Small groups are groups of 6-12 members who meet anywhere from once a week to once per month to study God's Word, pray together, and fellowship together with other believers in Christ. Small groups allow members to gather together outside of Sunday mornings or Saturday nights and discuss topics of interest to the group. These topics can range from books of the Bible to relationship/family matters to social issues of the day. The goal of small groups is to build and strengthen the faith life of the members and to create relationships among those in attendance.
Are small groups just organized Bible studies?
Not necessarily. Small groups provide an opportunity to grow relationships in the Trinity Lutheran community outside of worship and church and school fellowship events. Small groups are a means to stay connected to each other and to be able to communicate openly with other believers.
How can I join or lead a small group?
Contact Eric Dunn through the church office or Adam Born at (618) 792-4975. They can provide you with a listing of small groups.

Youth Programs
We have two youth groups; the Sr. High youth is for those students that are in High School and the Jr. High youth is for students that are in 6th-8th grade. Our groups have monthly activities that are published in our newsletter, happenings, school newsletter, and special mailings as needed.
Confirmation Classes – 7th & 8th Grade
Confirmation is a two-year program that takes place during 7th and 8th grade. Confirmation covers the six chief parts of the small catechism. The goal of confirmation is to educate our children about what we believe as Lutherans and why we believe it.
The 7th and 8th graders in our day school receive confirmation instruction on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the school year. The class is led by our Senior Pastor, Vicar, and our Director of Christian Education (DCE) and as stated above goes through the six chief parts of the small catechism.
The 7th and 8th graders that are members of our church but attend public school receive confirmation instruction on Sunday nights from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. during the school year. This class is taught by our Senior Pastor, Vicar, and our DCE.
Confirmation Classes – Adult
A new Doctrinal Refresher course will be starting after Easter. The class is a doctrinal look at why we believe what we do as LCMS Christians.
